Good starter digicam, November 27, 2003
Reviewer: Gadgester
This camera is great as a starter digital camera, especially for people
who are usually afraid of photography. The camera body is easy to hold and
the buttons are laid out user-friendlily. It's the usual snap-and-go type,
and anyone who half a brain can use the basic functions after picking it
up. The memory cards have come down *a lot* in price so there's no reason
to whine any more. BTW, speaking of price, the A210 can be had for under
one-fifty if you shop around. For that price this is simply the best 3MP
camera.
Image quality is excellent outdoors when light is aplenty. Night shots do
tend to be dark and noisy (noise refers to the coarse-grained color dots
you see in a poorly exposed picture). But after you read the manual you
can do things to improve night shots. Besides, no camera takes great
picures when there's insufficient light.

look for a better one, December 21, 2005

The manufacturer's rating of this camera, at >260 frames per battery set
with LCD on, is a complete fraud. I have never managed to get more than 15
frames out a freshly charged high-capacity new battery set and I had this
camera exhaust the set in just 3 frames. The zoom jumps discontinuously,
often preventing one from using an optimal setting.

Don't waste your money and time.., December 6, 2005

I bought this camera because I was on a tight budget and thought I was
getting a good value for the price. For a few dollars more I could have
found a digital camera I would enjoy much more. What I can say in favor of
this camera is it works and could be a good starter for a child or
teenager. Here's why I strongly recommend NOT choosing this camera:
*It's bulky. Don't bother trying to fit it in your pocket.
*It's poorly contructed. The plastic exterior scratches easily and the
coating rubs off after only a few months of use.
*Not user friendly. It's difficult to change options and preferences.
Preferences (such as date and time) have to be programed frequently. You
cannot take pictures without doing this (each time you turn on the
camera).
*Poor flash. The flash is too bright and makes everyone look really pale
and washed out- Photoshop can do little to correct this. Removing the
flash usually means total blur and/or darkness.
*Unreasonably long delay. Enough said.

The Fuji digital camera, July 17, 2005

This camera is easy to afford, offers some cool features like digital zoom
and so forth, but it does have some drawbacks especially compared to other
digital cameras. It is a bit bulky, not easy to carry. Its MP isn't as
large other cameras. It has bit of a delay when it comes to the flash view
feature, and can be a bit confusing sometimes, especially to the newcomer.
I would recommend spending the extra buck and get something much nicer and
complete especially if digital pictures is something you will be taking
alot of.

This thing is a steal!!!! Easy to use, great pictures, great software,
small and light. The only problem that I have with this camera is that i
had to buy a rechargable batteries. Also be sure to pick up the cradle.

Great first camera, July 30, 2004

This is my first digital camera. Friends of mine who know about digital
cameras said I should find one with at least 3 MP and 3X Optical zoom
(cameras that only have digital zoom lose quality when they zoom in). This
was the best deal I could find with those features. The camera is easy to
use even though I've never really messed with digital cameras before.
