Designed specifically for the Coolpix digital camera series, the Nikon Macro Cool-Light SL-1 is the latest innovation in high-quality macro photography. It is targeted at advanced Nikon Coolpix camera users who want to employ an additional illumination during macro photography. Attached to a Coolpix digital camera, this compact, lightweight Macro Cool-Light SL-1 enables easy macro photography without the need for special lighting equipment or technique. The SL-1 features 8 extremely bright white LEDs, which illuminate the subject.This product is compatible with the Nikon Coolpix 880 (via Step Down ring lens adapter UR-E2), Coolpix 885 (via Step Down ring lens adapter UR-E4) and Coolpix 775(via converter adapter UR-E3). The package includes the power source (2 CR2-type 3V lithium batteries); optional external power supply (6-8.4V, 0.2A). SL-1 features continuous usage of approximately 6 hours (using 3V lithium batteries at a shooting distance of approximately 8cm (1.3 inches), duration of maintenance of reasonable shooting brightness, measured by Nikon).

I HAVE HAD THIS LIGHT FOR MORE THAN A YEAR NOW. I HAVE USED IT FOR SEVERAL THINGS FROM TAKING CLOSEUPS OF JEWELRY TO OUTDOOR PICTURES IN THE NIGHT. IF YOU ARE SELLING ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET THIS WILL ENHANCE YOUR PICS ALSO. IF YOU ARE INTO SERIOUS PHOTOGRAPHY THIS IS A GREAT ACCESSORY FOR YOUR CAMERA.

I recently bought this light for use in my dental practice. After looking for expensive ring flashlights, this cool light is simply great. One of the features i like more is that when you use a ring flashlight in dental photography you need to close off all the other light sources, which means you have them on, you focus, you turn them off and you shoot the photo. With the cool light the light is allready on before and after the shot.
ONE OF THE BEST PRICE-QUALITY ITEMS I'VE FOUND.
