1.night vision is not that
good. its better not to use it because pics are too good with only the
flash in auto mode. when using night vision you need to wait for 3 seconds
for the pic to turn up and in these 3 seconds ur hands should be as still
as possible.
2. 4 batteries. i think this is high for the present cameras available in
the market
overall i like the performance of the camera. buy an xd card and start
taking pictures right away.

Great camera, just one weakness, October 10, 2005
Reviewer: Phil
I like the Olympus, easy to use, takes great pictures though, nice color
balance. I love the pop-up flash and hot shoe for adding a bigger flash.
Its only weakness is the auto-focus, also the fact it uses AA batteries,
always nice if you are caught with dead batteries. It can take a few
attempts to get it to focus on a subject, especially at a longer range. I
had a C-3000 previous to this that never had any auto-focus problems.
Great value for money though.

Great cam for $$, saturated colors, focus is off sometimes, October 2,
2005

I had an olympus c-4000 before this camera, both are 4 meg cameras with
similar styles, but the c755 has a 10x zoom. I figured they would be
equivalent cameras, but there were several diferences. The c-755 has a
slightly slower shutter response and sometimes has a problem with focus.
It does however make up for this with deeper more saturated colors. I also
do not like the fact that there is no optical view for the eye sight. It
has a small LED. For all of you wondering the max size memory card for
this camera, it is not stated clearly. I found the info on Olympus
Japanese website. Max is 512 meg. I bought a 512 type M memory card for
this camera and it works great. All in all this is a great camera for the
money. While there are new cameras out there with higher pixel count, I
don't know that it's really needed unless you crop your pictures tight.
This camera will give you rich saturated pictures with a terrific zoom for
the best price around.

I am very satisfied with this camera and the continued professional
service that I recieve from amazon. The only problem that I experence is
the delay in shooting two or more pictures in rapid succession.

Great deal for the price, September 30, 2005

Easy to use, great zoom, and very affordable. The memory card will have to
be upgraded and you'll want an extra set of batteries, but it is a great
bargain. It was easy to set up and learn the basics with the quick start
guide. Great buy.

First time digital camera owner, September 26, 2005

Being a first timer purchasing a digital camera I looked at 6 different
cameras, from several different makers. I kept returning to the Olympus
C755 because of the zoom! I have seen photos from other digital camera
owners, and have heard frustration about not being able to zoom very
close. I knew that the zoom was something I wanted. And I'm glad I got it!
The camera is very easy to learn and use. I did upgrade the memory chip
and purchased an additional set of batteries to have on hand.
I recommend buying a case to protect the camera.
A great camera for a great price!

The picture quality is crystal clear. Eventhough it came with good
instructions most of the symbols on the camera were self explanatory. It
had an easy learning curve. I like all the different features. In auto
mode it adjusts automatically to focus on the subject matter giving you
the perfect shot. Like most digital cameras, I wish it was a bit faster
when snapping the shot.
As an added bonus it had a great rebate!

Olympus Camedia C755 4MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom,
September 22, 2005
Reviewer: T. Truchot
I bought this camera recently but have been a fan of this model and the
predecessor C750 since their introduction. The camera is easy to use in
automatic mode, yet has all the bells and whistles a more experienced
photographer might want in individual settings.
The images are first rate and will blow up easily to 10 x 16 prints and
larger. Colors are true and detail is fine.
But by far the very best thing about this camera besides its fine picture
quality and ease of use, is that it accepts AA batteries. There is no
proprietary battery needed. So while on vacation or even just needing an
immediate shot, you do not have to worry about dead batteries. We travel
extensively, and you can always get AA's.
