Clear Photo LCD
The DSCT5 includes the new Clear Photo LCD which provides higher

Magnifying Glass Mode
With its extraordinarily close focusing capability (1 centimeter) and
oversized LCD, the DSCT5's Magnifying Glass mode can display images at
over 3x actual size. This powerful capability opens up new possibilities
in macrophotography.
5 Area Multi-Point Autofocus
By evaluating 5 separate focus areas of the frame, Sony's Multi-Point AF
system can intelligently focus on the subject and avoid mistakenly
focusing on the background.
Memory Stick Duo Media

portable and rugged--connecting a variety of hardware and software
applications.
Scene Selection Mode
With nine scene modes, parameters can be matched to the shooting
conditions. Choose from one of the following: Beach, Candle, Fireworks,
High-Speed Shutter, Landscape, Magnifying-Glass Mode, Snow, Twilight, and
Twilight Portrait.
Multi-Burst Mode
Captures 16 consecutive 320 x 240 frames as part of a single 1280 x 960
image, which plays back sequentially in the camera or as a single image on
your computer. Selectable 1/7.5, 1/15, and 1/30 second frame intervals
provide convenient motion analysis.
MPEG Movie VX Fine Modes
Captures VGA (640 x 480) high frame rate (up to 30 frames per second)
audio/video clips with length limited only by the capacity of the media.
Video mail mode captures smaller file sizes suitable for e-mail.
Preflash Metering
With a momentary preflash, the camera illuminates the subject and sets

Product Description
Remarkably pocketable, Sony's DSC-T5 packs 5 Megapixel resolution and a 3X
optical zoom in a size about that of a credit card, and barely 7/8" thin.
Available in September, the DSC-T5 is Sony's newest combination of compact
size and no-compromise image quality, and it redefines sharing
opportunities with its enormous 2.5" LCD display. To minimize the
thickness common to high resolution zoom cameras, the Carl Zeiss Vario
Tessar 3X optical zoom lens is inside the camera, and never has to extend
forward to capture a shot. Because the lens is always ready to go,
start-up is just 0.9 second, helping the DSC-T5 capture life's moments as
they happen. Sony's Real Imaging Processor also speeds up camera functions
- shot to shot time is just 1 second, and a 9 full resolution shots can be
captured at 1.4 fps.
More than just fast, the DSC-T1 is accurate - 5 area multi-point AF and
multi-pattern AE optimize focus and exposure even in challenging lighting.
With 32MB internal memory, you're always ready to capture life's moments.
And when you're ready for movie clips, Sony's MPEG VX Fine mode captures
full screen video clips with sound at 30fps (requires Memory Stick(R) PRO
Duo media). But it's after the shot that the DSC-T5 really shines - the
2.5" Clear Photo LCD makes it easy to share images right away. Add the
