Vivitar ViviCam 3735 3.3 MP Digital Camera Reviews.

Product Reviews:

Good Basic Digital, May 11, 2004
Reviewer: Craig L.Gay

This is my second Digital, first was an Olympus that I never did figure out how to set it up right. The Vivitar 3735 is quick to use with easy to read instructions. The settings remain where you set them and the color, at least on my model, is true to form. For a mid range camera, I would recommend this model.

I have rechargeable batteries and highly recommend using them for anyone using any digital camera. If you are looking for a camera that has everything, this is not it, but if are in the market for one that is quick to use with a bit of noise, then this one is for you. As far as the noise goes, I have no problem with it, as I don't plan to be taking pic's in a non-noise location.

The best for under a hundred bucks, May 10, 2004
Reviewer: A customer
I bought this camara three weeks ago and until this day I have no serious problem with it. The memory card works.

It is easy to control and its functions are easy to operate. Yes, is noisy, but others cameras are also noisy. For under a hundred bucks, this is the best 3 MP Digital camera you can buy.

 Serious problems, May 3, 2004
Reviewer: M. Clark "maclark88"

After having this camera for a couple of weeks I bought a CF card for it (it comes with built-in memory). Lexar media is one that is listed as compatible. When I inserted the CF card the camera would not turn on.

After leaving it on for a long time it told me the CF needed formatting. It formatted the media and then the camera repeated the process of complaining about formatting. Since then the camera will not turn on reliably, gets confused about the media being there and randomly gives the complaint about the CF not being formatted.

Compared to my Olympus camera experiences this camera is a definite no-no when it comes to anyone considering a 3mp digital camera.

not a bad cam for the money, April 25, 2004

it is a loud cam but the photo quality is very respectable for one hundred bucks. invest in rechargable batteries as you would with any digicam

Beware of this camera., April 21, 2004
Reviewer: Subbiah Sannasi Nehru "Sannasi Nehru"

I got one of these from the local store. I noticed some noise while operating the zoom. It turned out I got focus problem and got bad pictures. So I promptly returned and I got another one.

This one was less noise than the old one. Pictures came out good. I tried zoom/no zoom indoor and outdoor everything looked all right to my naked eye. My happiness didn't last until I started comparing the images (same location, light and only few seconds apart between snaps) with another Kodak camera. It looks like Vivtar took all my purple colors in Blue. The color capture in this camera is pathetic. The problem hasn't end there.

I got a 256 MB compact flash card. I inserted card. It worked fine for a day and from second day onwards if I had the CF in the camera, I couldn't even switch on the camera. I checked my CF, it was ok with another camera. Also if you have additional memory added then the internal memory is not recognized. Overall stay away from this camera. I gave one star caz, I can't give zero.

Really great for a 3MP camera!, April 18, 2004
Reviewer: A customer
Sold an HP 3MP camera and bought this 3MP camera which I much prefer to the highly-touted HP. I've been a Vivitar fan for years and they've scored well with this one.

works pretty good, April 9, 2004
Reviewer: A customer
This is my first high megapixel camera, and it works great. The picture quality is very good, and I was able to take about 25-30 pictures with flash on one set of batteries.

Only problem I had was that there seems to be a lot of noise at the iso400 settings, which apparently is true with many digital cameras, so oh well. Overall a great camera for the money, the lcd screen works great too.
